Recently a new mobile malware has just arrived that can root your Android devices. The name is Godless, this malware is hiding itself within any authorized apps on Google store. It’s really astonishing how this malware can root your phone so easily. The entire malware has such materials that can install unwanted spyware that can easily transfer any personal info to the attacker. This malware is targeting Android OS version 5 or Lollipop and earlier. According to Trend Micro, this malware is now targeting Android devices with its newer version. Once it’s installed on your Android, it will be very tough to uninstall. Trend Micro says, more than 850,000 devices have been infected by this malware. Most of the devices are from Indian region, and rests are from the southeast part of Asia. Only 2% infected devices were found in U.S region. So, if you are downloading any utility apps or favorite games from Google app store, please make sure that you are downloading the authorized or the original version of those apps. By original version, it means that the Developer should be trusted and must have the positive users review. Remember, unauthorized and copied version of an app could be the source of this malware. So, be careful.

However, Godless app is the latest mobile malware in Google play store. Researchers are suggesting that currently Trojan has infected more than 20,000 apps. Most of those apps has been designed to gain the root access to the Android devices. So, users should avoid all the unauthorized apps and third-party app stores. Third-party app stores mean something other than Google Play Store. However, Amazon is also a third-party apps store but still trustworthy. Because Amazon doesn’t prefer any malicious or unauthorized apps. You should still be very careful when you download apps from any app store. All the app developers are not trustworthy.
